Who can use our services

Tamariki, rangatahi, pakeke, kuia and koroua - children adolescents, adults and older people - with mild to moderate mental health needs and/or addictions are welcome to seek us our services. Although there is a specific focus on kaupapa Māori, and servicing Māori, our services are open to all.

The addition of the Whānau Ora way of working, helps whānau to have more of a say in their own health, social, economic, educational and cultural plans as they are the best decision-makers for themselves.

We have provided Kaupapa Māori mental health services for the past 23 years. The first 15 years from the Tauranga Hospital, and from within the community for the last 8 years.

Our Registered Nurses, Registered Social Workers, Counsellors, therapists and Kaiarahi navigators will align other services as or when identified, that best meet whānau needs.

All services are free and are open from Monday to Friday, except statutory holidays from 8am to 5pm.

For acute mental health needs outside of those hours, you may contact the Crisis Team at the Tauranga Hospital 579 8384 or 0800 800508

Building tomorrow’s leaders today

All our services are strengths-based where whānau are encouraged and supported to pursue their own Whānau Ora goals and plans.
